Where does the tour start?

Your PayPal receipt or your pre-purchased ticket voucher must be exchanged for a ticket/brochure on the day of the tour at Gallery 22, 22 E. Winter Street (2 doors west of the Strand Theatre). This may be done at any time from 2:00 until 6:30 on the day of the tour. You will get instructions, a map, and surgical shoe covers to protect the floors of the homes at that time. Please feel free to browse the gallery as well.

Do I need to buy my ticket voucher in advance?

No, but they are $20 in advance and $25 the day of the tour. Ticket vouchers may be purchased in advance by cash or check at either The Delaware Antique Mall (18 N. Sandusky) or Edwin Loy Home/Stone & Sparrow (27 N. Sandusky), OR purchased with PayPal on this website starting November 1. On the day of the tour, tickets will be available at Gallery 22 (22 E. Winter Street) from 2:00 until 6:30, or while supplies last.

What time does the tour start?

The properties will be open to ticket carriers from 3:00 until 7:00. It is a self-guided tour, so you may start any time after 3:00 (Please do not arrive early as homeowners may be doing some last minute cleaning or decorating!).

How long does the tour take?

It varies, but allow an hour and a half to two hours to see all of the properties. Keep in mind that the homeowners have been instructed to close their doors at 7:00. They'll be tired and hungry, so please be respectful of time.

Do I need a ticket to enter each of the homes?

Absolutely! You will exchange your voucher or PayPal receipt for a ticket/brochure on the day of the tour. This will be done at the Gallery 22 at 22 E. Winter Street (2 doors west of the Strand Theatre), any time after 2:00. This ticket/brochure will be marked at the door of each residence so please carry yours with you. If you ordered online via PayPal, you may either print your voucher or just show us your phone screen as proof of purchase. YOU WILL NOT BE ADMITTED INTO ANY OF THE HOMES WITHOUT YOUR TICKET/BROCHURE AND NO ONE WILL BE RE-ADMITTED TO ANY ADDRESS. 

Are strollers allowed on the tour?

No strollers will be allowed in any of the homes on tour.

Are there discounted prices for children?

No. Everyone on the tour must have a ticket, children included.

• Please do not touch walls as many of them have silk wallpaper, which is very hard to clean.

Do shoe coverings have to be worn in the homes?

Yes, or you may take off your shoes.

Do I have to do the tour in a certain order?

No, you can go in any order you choose.

Do you offer a discount for groups?

No, we do not.

Will the homes be open past 7pm?

No. Please be respectful. The homeowners will be tired and hungry and have been instructed to close their doors promptly at 7:00.

How do I get my tickets once they are purchased online?

Tickets will be picked up at the Gallery 22 at 22 E. Winter Street (2 doors west of the Strand Theatre), on the day of the tour, starting at 2:00. Be sure to bring your receipt as proof of purchase.

If I already have my ticket, do I still have to go to Gallery 22?

Yes, you will exchange your receipt or ticket voucher for a ticket/brochure at Gallery 22. You must have your ticket/brochure marked at the door of every property. The program will have a map and will provide the addresses of each of the properties along with suggestions for parking.

Will transportation be provided for the tour?

No, there will be no shuttle service. The tour is self-guided and a map is included in your program along with the addresses of the homes on tour.

Are homes ADA compliant?

No. The homes on tour are not ADA compliant, as they are privately owned.

Are there refunds available for inclement weather?

No. Homes will be open for the tour regardless of the weather.

What other holiday celebrations are going on at the same time in Delaware?

Delaware Main Street's First Friday is the night before the tour, from 6 to 9 p.m. The Delaware Fantasy of Lights is open nightly.
